On November 16, a report on “Secular and Spiritual in Ismailism” was presented at a scientific seminar.

Speaker: Korneeva Tatyana.

In the Middle Ages within the framework of Ishmaelite doctrine a harmonious philosophical system covering all spheres of human life was developed. In the 21st century, in the epoch of digitalization and globalization, there is an opinion that the spiritual, religious component of Ismailism is dying out, and only the form is left of Ismaili teaching. However, the modern tendencies prevailing in Ismaili society have their roots in medieval paradigms, and we should speak not about the secularization of Ismaili society, but about the sacralization of human life.
